There is nothing to think about. Obama is running for president and Wright is collecting retirement. Obama has made clear his separation and disregard, albeit disappointing, for Wright. It is old school versus new school and Obama is new school. If you are excited or have an interest in the relationship, you are miles off course from the fundamental issues of election this year.

They both scare me....I can't believe American citizens would even consider voting for Obama. Why would you vote for someone who is so against whites...and I'm not sure he has the best interest of our country in mind. Rev. Wright should have his Not-for-Profit status taken away from his church.... A man of God would not preach hate...Jesus is Love. If Obama didn't realize this after 20 years of listening to Wright why would we want him to run our country?

Rev. Wright is just an obnoxious glitch of the past. After all, Sen. Obama is the one running for office, not Rev. Wright, and they were HIS statements, not Obama's.

And now, Sen. Obama is the nominee for the Democrats. biggrin

We can not hold the actions and quotes of someone like Rev. Wright against Senator Obama. If you think that Obama shares the opinions of Rev. Wright, then you have not been following the election at all. This is something that the Clinton campaign is taking advantage of to smear Senator Obama because there is not much else to go on, at least from a character perspective.

Everything was taken out of context? Then explain them to me what context these statements were in:

"The government invented AIDS to kill Blacks"

"The government knew about Pearl Harbor"

Explain the "context" those statements were in.

As for the comments being "truthful", their are alot of truthful comments David Duke makes about Blacks.

Just face facts, the guy is racist but gets a pass by you because he's black, isnt that what its all about?

Equality means treating everone equal, not making excuses for people based on their skin color.

What I think won't sway you to change your mind. But this is a smear tactic by Sen. McCain, worthy of noting that just about every quote from Rev. Wright has been taken out of context.

In the New York Times article of March 15, the only inflammatory remark which should be retracted is the one where he says the USA ought to be called the "US of KKK." It's not very far from the truth in certain regions of the country. Just exaggerated and over-reaching, IMO.

The remarks about blacks/whites are truthful, everyone knows that stuff goes on-why get all up in arms over a black man stating the obvious? Ohhhh, I get it-because Sen. Obama has gone to Wright's church in the past, so that means everything Wright says is endorsed and adhered to by Obama. You are no fool, either, Anonymous, so why would you hold such a flawed opinion of this matter?

C'mon, Anonymous-I bet you know personally of blacks who feel disenfranchised socially, economically, politically. Are you that naive or that conservative that you don't know any???
